The Bicton Inn has been welcoming visitors through its doors for more than 100 years. It has been at the heart of the community through two reigns and two world wars. Today, despite many changes, this busy family run free house still maintains the joy of a traditional English pub, where locals, holiday makers and other visitors mingle for friendly conversation and a relaxing drink.
The pub puts a particular emphasis on its ever changing selection of fine real ales, many of which are locally brewed. The pub is accredited for the excellence of its cask beers. It was awarded the CAMRA winter pub of the year in 2018.
The Bicton is well known for its regular live music events with performances every Thursday, and at weekends. It is very much at the heart of the local folk music scene and the visitor can also often enjoy some impromptu music from visiting musicians. It is one of the very few pubs where people gather around a fully maintained piano for classical renditions, traditional sing-songs and other musical treats.
Throughout the year the Bicton Inn hosts a number of celebrations, charity events and various community based activities all of which are entirely free to attend.
Real ale and craft beer connoisseurs can enjoy one of several beer festivals held at the pub throughout the year.
It is also home to several games teams including darts, pool and euchre.
If you want to experience the true flavour of Exmouth and the friendly people who live here, the Bicton Inn is a great place to visit.
Open from 11am until midnight - 7 days a week.
